The products are made in such a way that they don´t lose their active principles, what guarantees their high quality.
One of the basic points for the products efficiency guaranty is a quality of raw material used for their elaboration.
In view that the vegetal raw material will be used for the health prophylaxis and treatment, UFN cares to produce the purest products.
With the purpose to guarantee the quality, in view of the wide use of diverse species and in default of the special regulations in some legislations, UNIFARM has established a control system which begins from the cultivation and post-harvesting and includes the corresponding analysis.
The quality control of our products involves the entire production process, applying modern techniques for obtaining and efficient product for the disease treatment. The identity test is a botany analysis which consists in detailed determination of the exact species and its part used in medicine.
Our Quality Control Laboratory keeps a sample herbarium. We work only with registered suppliers, being guaranteed that the used plant has not been adulterated or falsified and has been stored in a proper way; our providers has evidence that they tenably manage the forests.
Moreover, UNIFARM is in permanent touch with the provider visiting the very place of raw material cultivation, to assure its quality.
We perform the following analysis:
Physical organoleptic analysis which encompasses the macroscopic and stereoscopic analysis, particle size, both larva and insect contamination, color, smell, taste characteristics, drying, storage conditions, and general aspect of the representative sample of a lot supplied by a provider. If there is any doubt concerning the identity, we perform a micrographic test. Likewise, the moisture percentage is analyzed by the gravimetric methods. The ash determination is also important.
Microbiological, sanitary analysis includes the determination of the most probable number of microorganisms ( NMP/g) through the methods recommended in the international pharmacopoeias. Mould and yeast recount. The finished products require additional analysis which include the aerobes recount on the plaque and the microbiological analysis.
The composition analysis is performed by chromatography of thin layer method. The specific active principle assessment is made by chromatography (HPLC).
Besides these fundamental analysis, UFN consider several guidelines which guarantee the stability of the finished product allowing it trading at the international level and a safe use of the products, giving importanceto the following:
- Selection of the material and pharmaceutical form.
- Selection of the material and pharmaceutical form.
- Patient’s acceptability.
- Stability.
- Right and proper packing.
- Preservation from contamination.
- Right dose.
