Pasuchaca

RECOMMENDED USE: The Pasuchaca is considered as a vegetal species with hypoglycemic effect (it reduces the glucose levels in the blood) reason why is traditionally used in the treatment of certain types of diabetes. The Pasuchaca is not a substitute of the correct dietetic habits nor medicines.

INGREDIENTS: Pasuchaca (Geranium ayavacense).

CONTENT: 90 capsules / 300 mg. each one.

DOSE: Take 1 capsule, three times daily, with meals.

The Pasuchaca plant is a genus of Geranium (Geranium dielsanum Knuth) with an excellent hypoglycemic effect (that diminishes the quantity of contained glucose in the blood) and is very useful in the treatment of certain types of diabetes. It has not yet been determined the mechanism for the action of its components, but it is believed that it increases the total absorption of glucose by the body, or facilitates the absorption of glucose in the muscle tissue, and it inhibits hepatic gluconeogensis (the mechanism that converts compound non-carbohydrates to glucose). It provides glucose to the body when it doesn't have dietary carbohydrates, and increases in diabetics the reception of insulin to its receivers. Considering that insulin doesn't exercise effect for the transport of the glucose on certain cells such as tubular epithelium of the kidney, it appears that Pasuchaca impedes the reabsorption of glucose through the tubular epithelium; in this way, larger concentrations of glucose would be eliminated in the urine than those presented under the physiologic conditions of diabetics.

The main medicinal properties attributed to Pasuchaca are: anti-diabetic, hypoglycemic and purifying of the blood.

With regard to the diabetes mellitus, this illness usually begins in childhood, but it can happen at any age and it is not uncommon in adults. In most cases the onset is abrupt, with loss of weight, weakness, excessive excretion of nutrients as it diminishes the production of Insulin, hyperglycemia (high glucose in the blood) appears, as a consequence of the inability of the body to use the glucose.

It is believed that the number of cases in these sub-regions number higher than cases in the United States and Canada.

Therefore, it is important to begin treatment early when this condition is diagnosed, which will help the patient to live a comfortable and useful life. In addition, it is imperative that these patients maintain an appropriate body weight, take steps to correct any biochemical and metabolic abnormalities and try to prevent the progression of the illnesses and its complications.
