Varicose veins can cause great internal and external problems for people. Varicose veins are extensive superficial veins of the legs. The precise cause of the varicose veins is largely unknown, but is probably due to a weakness in the walls of the superficial veins. This compound consists of the well-known Hammamelis and cypress. Studies throughout the years have shown that cypress is a vasoconstrictor of great effectiveness. This product acts by compressing the veins, which encourages the valves to close, and reduces the volume of blood. In addition, Variflam acts as an astringent and an anti-rheumatic treatment. Cypress is widely recognized for its medicinal qualities as an astringent and a vasoconstrictor, largely due to the high quantities of tannins that it contains. Cypress can be used both internally and externally, on such diverse problems as hemorrhoids, varicose veins, uterine bleeding and diarrhea. A length of time for specific treatment has not been finalized in studies, but it is generally known that it can be used for long periods of time without toxicity or side effects. This formula is supplemented with Hammamelis, which acts as an astringent and calming agent, but it also has the ability to protect the walls of the veins and helping to normalize blood pressure and restore circulation. It can also be used as an excellent decongestant. It is recommended that you do not eat spicy foods or consume alcohol while using this product. Additional Note: Elevating the legs can help alleviate the symptoms of varicose veins. Other home treatments include exercising, wearing compression (elastic) socks, which helps compress the veins and helps avoid additional stretching or scarring, and taking showers in the following manner: applying hot water to the legs for two minutes and cold water for two minutes. |
